Salt Bae-livia, amirite? Okay, we'll stop peppering in puns. It feels right for Bolivia to be named after the man that decolonised the continent (Simon Bolivar for the uninitiated). Of all of the South Americans, Bolivia is closest to its indigenous roots. Bolivians are the poorest of South Americans, but in opinion, they’re also the purest. We were met with a kindness in Bolivia, even in moments where opportunism would have been almost understandable.
